The hybrid system delivers a balanced mix of high output and excellent fuel efficiency, providing an electric-vehicle-like driving experience. A 2.0-liter inline engine works with a high-power motor and lithium-ion battery to enhance acceleration and sporty control. The system optimizes deceleration via the accelerator and distributes power with E-Four for stable, confident driving on slippery or dry roads.

The MacPherson strut front suspension and the double-wishbone rear suspension achieve excellent steering response in addition to first-class comfort during the journey. They have been precisely tuned specifically for the UX in line with the performance philosophy of "Clear and Deep Feel." The vehicle was rigorously tested on the racetrack to ensure reliable response and handling even at the limits. Shock absorber damping force has been optimized and the FCD (Friction Control Device) has been refined to provide superb steering response alongside high-quality ride comfort. The rigid axle bearing in the rear suspension system also contributes to excellent handling stability.

Select provides integrated control over multiple systems, including the engine and CVT transmission, allowing you to calibrate performance to suit your driving style. You can choose and switch between three modes: Eco Mode for fuel-efficient driving; Normal Mode for balanced driving performance with fuel efficiency; and Sport Mode for a sporty drive with enhanced steering feel and acceleration response.
